I was born in Poland in 1956. I have been an artist and designer since 1984, working both in Europe, and in the United States. My work has consisted of creating book covers, posters, postcards, and designing CD covers for jazz artists in US and in Europe. Among competitions in which I have been recognized was a first prize award for my poster design at the United Nations Fourth Women's Conference in 1995 in Beijing, China.
My artistic sensitivity was largely stimulated by my grandmother, Halina Kononowicz, an artist who completed her education in Vilnius, Lithuania before the Second World War. In the eighties and later my passions led me to study printing techniques and stained glass techniques. But at present I am working in oils. I established my own techniques using spacles, oil mediums and sand.
For the last six years, I have been permanently living and working in Greenville, S.C., USA, promoting my fine art in several galleries in the states.
