    Corporate history.
The history of hasenkamp starts in 1903 as a family ownership. The company flourished during the next few decades until the Second World War put an end to its activities. Shortly after the end of the war, hasenkamp started its transportation activities again.
Gradually Germany began to initiate cultural exchanges with its European neighbours again and hasenkamp was commissioned to transport German works of art to Paris, Moscow and Leningrad.
In 1955 hasenkamp set up its first branch office in Bonn. By 1960 the fleet had grown to 20 vehicles. By that time the companywas handling the deliveries for Kaufhof AG in Cologne and Bonn. At the same time, as local partner to IBM, it delivered highly sensitive computer equipment.
In 1965 a joinery and machine shop were established in Cologne so that the company could make its own special packaging. in the same year a branch office was set up in Frankfurt, close to the airport. Further branch offices ewre established in hamburg and Munich in 1970, the Berlin branch office opened in 1975.
A new era began for hasenkamp in the 1980's as the company entered its fourth generation of family ownership. Innovative concepts gave it a stronger international character. To meet the new challenges, the company sterted in the 90's to plan new premises which would be able to meet the latest logistic and increased security requirements. The new logistics center was opened at the end of 1994.
Today the company has more than 500 emloyees in its 7 business divisions and has a large number of branch offices and premises from Cologne to St. Petersburg.
The hasenkamp fleet includes nearly 300 vehicles of various sizes with different technical features to meet the various transprtation tasks. Te warehouses offer suitable accommodations for all kinds of goods, furniture, works of art or complete fair stalls. Items can be stored for a few days, for months or even years in high-bay stores, containers or guarded security areas. The modern workshops produce any required packaging for the removals -, fine arts -, expo - and systems divisions.
With its independent business divisions hasenkamp offers different services adjusted to modern market demands.
The most important aim of all divisions, however, is to fulfill the particular demands of their customers.
